Is your life worth living?

God you got my history wrong…
I have no evidence that you’ve been in my life.
God did not spare his own Son from the wilderness. (Mark 1:11-12)
The Wilderness will show you
what is in your heart.
Deuteronomy – 8:2
“And you shall remember the whole way the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart…”
The Prophet
God flipped the camera and showed me the movie of my life from his perspective.
Marriage a foundation….
it’s cracked.
Calling and Vocation…….
you’ve not been willing to pay the price and your heart is not surrendered.
Counterfeit Gods
What is an idol or a counterfeit god?
Anything that is more important to you than God.
Anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God.
Anything you look to, too give you what only God can give you.
Anything that is so essential and central to your life that should you lose it – your life would feel hardly worth living.
Pasadena
A career exposed as an idol.
When your idol is threatened you will be willing to bend and break your deepest held values.
Jesus passed every test in the Wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11) – I failed every test.
Until your will and God’s will comes into conflict with each other you will not fully understand the price to follow him.
So, what happened to me?
Taxi man
Why would God put me in the prison of a cab?
I came to take from the city and God said I need you to give to the city. Serve the city.
I learnt that not only did God use the prison of my cab to bring redemption. (Agent) It was in the prison of my cab where I found salvation. (Voice)

Psalm 88
A time of spiritual darkness can last a long time.
Don’t leave your despair at the door when you worship God.
Your prayers are a lot more effective than you think and feel in times of spiritual darkness.
If you are willing to serve God for nothing – Satan’s lie becomes untrue and is defeated.
